- Powder coating is a completely dry finishing process.
- Finely ground particles of pigment and resin are electrostatically charged and sprayed onto the electrically grounded aluminum alloy and then oven-cured so that the particles adhere until melted and fused into a solid coating.
- Unlike liquid paint, no solvents are used, so only negligible amounts of VOCs, if any, are released into the air.
- Unused or oversprayed powder can be recovered, so any waste is minimal. This efficient process helps keep costs down and serves to maximize product value.
